Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Finlig Digital Ltd ("we", "us") about your use of DrbenAI. By creating an account you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use DrbenAI.

1. What DrbenAI is, and what it is not

DrbenAI is an assistive learning and communication tool for children. It helps with practice, reading, vocabulary, numbers and expressing needs.

DrbenAI is not a medical device or a health service. It does not diagnose, assess or treat dyslexia, autism, Down syndrome or any other condition, and it is not a substitute for a teacher, therapist, doctor or caregiver. Levels, percentages and summaries in the app describe activity inside DrbenAI only. Please don't use them to make medical or educational decisions on their own, and speak to a qualified professional about any concern for your child.

2. Who may use it

You must be 18 or older and be a parent, legal guardian or teacher authorised by a school. Children use DrbenAI through your account and under your supervision. By adding a child you confirm you have the right to do so.

3. Your account

Keep your password and grown-up PIN private, and give accurate details. You are responsible for what happens on your account, including what children in your care do with it. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in.

4. Testing period

DrbenAI is in testing. Features may change, break or disappear, and there may be interruptions. It is provided free during this period, and we may introduce paid plans later with notice. Please keep your own record of anything you would be sorry to lose.

5. Content you create

Lessons, tests, stories and pictures you add stay yours. By putting them into DrbenAI you give us permission to store them, show them to you and the children on your account, and have Dr Ben teach them.

You confirm that your content is yours to use, doesn't infringe anyone's rights (including the copyright in any picture you upload), and contains no names, phone numbers or addresses of any child, and no photographs of children in anything you share.

6. Sharing with the library

Sharing a lesson with the DrbenAI library is optional. If you share one, you give us and other DrbenAI users permission to use, copy and adapt it for teaching children within DrbenAI, and you allow Dr Ben to draw on it as teaching material. You keep ownership, and you can make a lesson private again at any time, though copies already in use may persist for a while.

We review shared lessons, including any uploaded pictures, before they appear, and may decline or remove any lesson.

The starter pictures in DrbenAI are Twemoji graphics licensed CC-BY 4.0, plus shapes and colours drawn for DrbenAI. Please credit them if you reuse them.

7. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Upload content that is unsuitable for children, hateful, violent, sexual or unlawful.
• Include any child's personal details in a lesson or in chat.
• Try to break into, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer DrbenAI.
• Use DrbenAI to give medical, psychological or diagnostic advice to anyone.
• Resell or rebrand DrbenAI without our written agreement.

8. AI-generated content

Dr Ben's replies and some explanations are generated by an AI model. AI can be wrong, and sometimes confidently so. Please check what matters, and stay nearby while a young child is using it. We filter content and instruct the model to stay safe and age-appropriate, but we can't guarantee every response.

9. Child safety

DrbenAI includes a basic safety check: if a child writes something suggesting they may be hurt or unsafe, Dr Ben gives a fixed reply encouraging them to tell a trusted adult, and the message is flagged for you. This is a simple safety net, not a monitoring service or a guarantee. Please read your child's chats and stay involved.

If you believe a child is at risk, contact local authorities or child protection services.

10. Our content

DrbenAI's name, logo, software, design and starter lessons belong to Finlig Digital Ltd. You may use them within DrbenAI, but not copy or reuse them elsewhere without our permission.

11. Ending your account

You can delete a child, or ask us to close your account, at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts children at risk. If we close your account without cause, we will tell you first where we reasonably can.

12. Liability

DrbenAI is provided "as is" during testing, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or decisions made on the basis of information in the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will say so on this page and, where we can, by email. Continuing to use DrbenAI after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria. [Confirm this with your lawyer.]
